The Jackson Sub-Regional Office was originally part of UAW Region 1B, which covered plants in Jackson, Pontiac, Washtenaw county, Kalamazoo and Albion, Michigan. In 1959, the regional offices were reorganized, and the Jackson area was placed under region 1C, which then covered plants in Jackson, Flint, Lansing, Albion, Adrian, and Owosso, Michigan.
